Over 100 Acres of Public Parks & Open Spaces

The Public Services Department is comprised of the Streets Division and the Parks Division.

The Storm Lake Parks Division is charged with maintaining over 100 acres of public parks and open spaces, a majority of which is along the north shore of Lake Storm Lake.

The Storm Lake Parks system includes a wide variety of public recreational facilities including:

Heritage Tree Museum

The Storm Lake Park system is also home to a unique historical attraction - the Heritage Tree Museum. It is a living museum containing trees that have seen history and have stories to tell. An audio tour (50.3 MB) is also available to download for your next trip.
