Awards were presented in January for highest rate of volunteer call responses during 2022. Assistant Chief Todd Larson recorded the highest response rate, with Firefighters Josh Brown and Francisco Vazquez tied for second. Firefighter Andres Espana logged the most training hours during the year.
Kutz is serving in his 24th year on the department, Vazquez has served 11 years.
“We’re very proud of our honorees and all of the members for their dedication and service,” Fire Chief Glenn Schlesser said. “Our volunteers selflessly dedicate their time, training and responding to protect the lives and the property of our community. The awards we present are just a small way of showing our great appreciation for all they contribute.”
