Storm Lake Water Wisdom #5 brought to you this fine Tuesday from the City of Storm Lake involves Efficient Use of Water.

As the abnormally dry period continues for much of the state, the importance of efficient use of water resources continues to increase. Water conservation efforts to curb municipal water system demand play a crucial part in the overall effort to make the most of our water resources. Water conservation efforts also benefit end-users with lower water bills. What can be done to conserve water? From simple steps such as shutting off the faucet while brushing teeth to harvesting rainwater for use in the yard and garden, there are hundreds of ways to conserve water. For more information and tips on water conservation visit:   https://www.epa.gov/watersense

More tips regarding voluntary water conservations measures and tips for reducing water consumption will follow each Tuesday.  Ensuring wise use of our water resources is in the best interest of the community.

Being Storm Lake Proud is not one day, one week, one month or one event.  Being Storm Lake Proud is a magnificent lifestyle!  More information about the City of Storm Lake can be found on the city’s website at www.stormlake.org.
