Kids Fest

The City of Storm Lake and King’s Pointe community-owned resort team up to put on an exciting day for the young and the young at heart, Kids' Fest: Iowa’s Happiest Celebration will return to Storm Lake in 2025. Kids’ Fest is a free event and is brought to you by the City of Storm Lake and King’s Pointe Waterpark Resort. More details coming soon!

Lighthouses

Public art is a priority in Storm Lake. Some of this creativity takes the form of the Storm Lake Lighthouse Project – a unique art installation. The project began in 2021, when two local art teachers commissioned the first 10 seven-feet-tall molded fiberglass lighthouses, an iconic symbol in Storm Lake. Local artists create designs for future lighthouses, competing for the opportunity to paint one of the sculptures in their own style – the more imaginative and surprising, the better. The lighthouses can be seen in Storm Lake parks and public places.
