IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  

  •  Applicants must be a qualifying non-profit organization or provide economic development per the purposes outlined Iowa Code Chapter 15A.
  •  Applicants must execute a Grant Agreement with the City prior to fund disbursement.
  •  Applicants must provide any financial documents records or statements upon request to verify proper use of funds.
  •  Applications are due December 19th, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
  •  City Council will hold a Q&A session for grant application requests at the February 2nd, 2026 Council Meeting.
  •  Finally, and most important, Determination of the level of funding, if any, will be made during the FY2027 budget workshops in early 2026 and announced following formal approval of the FY2027 budget. 

The City of Storm Lake will hold a Question & Answer session on the grant application requests on Monday, February 2nd, 2026, at 5:00PM in the Storm Lake Council Chambers located at 620 Erie Street, Storm Lake, Iowa. At that time applicants will be given three (3) minutes to explain their program and/or proposal to the City Council. At this time the Council may ask questions of the applicant. Determination of the level of funding will be made at the budget workshop in early 2026; the specific date will be announced later upon formal approval of the FY 2027 Budget.
