The City of Storm Lake is implementing a three day Snow Emergency. The Snow Emergency is in effect beginning at 10:00PM Friday, January 20, 2012 through 6:00AM Monday morning January 23, 2012.

During this snow emergency parking is not allowed on city streets or in public parking lots B & D in downtown Storm Lake.

Downtown residents can park in public lots A and C. A map of the parking lots and more detailed information on Snow Emergency regulations is available on the City’s website at www.213snow.com.

The City of Storm Lake would like to remind residents that it is unlawful to push or move snow onto the City streets or alleys. Cooperation from the community in preventing snow to be placed in alleys and streets will assist in keeping the alleys and streets clear of snow after the City has been through.

Citizens are also reminded that it is the responsibility of the property owner to remove snow and ice build ups on sidewalks within 72 hours of a snow or ice event.

Once again a SNOW EMERGENCY has been declared effective January 20, 2012 at 10PM and running through Monday, January 23, 2012 at 6:00AM.
