. Bulbs are no longer available to replace in the traditional lights Lake Avenue has had for a number of years. The large corner streetlights are being changed out for new LED poles over the next couple of weeks, starting with the locations that have burned out. The smaller midblock lights will be retrofitted to allow for LEDs. The new lighting should be a bit brighter and save on energy use. Please travel with care in the three blocks of Lake Avenue downtown while the work takes place. A couple of parking spaces at a time may be taken up for short periods for boom trucks to be placed.
