The Storm Lake Hometown Pride Committee is inviting residents, businesses, employees, students, and other stakeholders of Storm Lake to share their thoughts, ideas, and hopes for the future of the community through a new survey.
The survey is available in both English and Spanish and can be completed online:
For those who prefer paper copies, hard copies of the survey can also be found and completed at Storm Lake City Hall or Storm Lake Public Library.
Responses will be accepted through October 30, 2025.
The results will help the Committee understand how it can better serve Storm Lake and provide respondents with an opportunity to share their ideas for future betterment initiatives.
Storm Lake Hometown Pride Committee is a volunteer-driven committee that is part of a statewide program supported by Keep Iowa Beautiful, designed to build local leadership and create vibrant, thriving communities. Since its start, the Storm Lake committee has partnered with residents, businesses, and local organizations to improve community amenities, foster civic pride, and boost economic vitality.
“We want to hear directly from the people who know Storm Lake best – our residents, employees, students, and businesses,” said Elissa Doebel, Hometown Pride Committee Co-Chair. “Your feedback will help us identify what’s working well and where we can make meaningful improvements for the future.”
Storm Lake Hometown Pride encourages everyone – whether a lifelong resident, newcomer, or business owner – to take a few minutes to participate. Community voices are the foundation for building a stronger, more connected Storm Lake.
