[ARCHIVED] No Citywide Clean Up

The City of Storm Lake is aware of community reports circulating on social media sites including Facebook that indicate that there will be a community wide cleanup program the weekend of May 4th – 5th, 2012.

Those reports are FALSE.

The City of Storm Lake has a regular community wide cleanup program that takes place every five years. The next scheduled cleanup is in the summer of 2013.

When the program is scheduled information will be circulated through the local media and the utility bills as well as the City’s web page and other outlets.

Residents who place garbage and items they no longer desire on the street side or curbs in anticipation of a citywide cleanup will be contacted by Code Enforcement Officers and given notice to remove those items immediately.

Anyone with questions regarding this program may contact City Administration at 712-732-8000.

Again there is NO citywide cleanup scheduled in Storm Lake for 2012.
